About the Council
The Claggett Creek Watershed Council is a community-based group of residents, volunteers, and partners working to protect and improve the health of the Claggett Creek Watershed.
Our mission
The Claggett Creek Watershed Council was formed as a nonprofit public benefit corporation to support education, stewardship, restoration, and protection of the Claggett Creek Watershed.
Where we work
The watershed covers roughly 20 square miles in Marion County and includes parts of three local jurisdictions: Marion County, the City of Salem, and the City of Keizer. Claggett Creek flows through this shared landscape — connecting neighborhoods, parks, wetlands, wildlife habitat, and public spaces — before draining toward Clear Lake and the Willamette River.
How we work
We bring together residents, local governments, organizations, and other partners to improve watershed health through information sharing, coordination, and on-the-ground projects.
